Hailing from Mexico, Dr Lakra is an artist and tattooist who can claim some originality. He takes old magazines and objects from previous decades, and embellishes them using his drawing skills.
This mashup between new school styles and the old school pictures subjected to Dr Lakra's pen is interesting, as it alters the traditional ways of seeing the original images, be they Mexican wrestlers or American pinups.
